The resort is surrounded by natural beauty and abuts Franconia Notch State Park. The most important event since the founding of the resort was the 1978 decision to enter into the new and exciting world of vacation-ownership! Although numerous expansions and renovations have occurred during the last 20 years, particular care has been taken to retain the Austrian flavor and ambiance of the original resort.
