The resort's recreation center boasts an indoor pool, whirlpool, and racquetball court. Sunrise ski area, about 25 miles from the resort, offers 60 trails and vertical drops of 1,800 feet. In warmer months, enjoy trout fishing, tennis, hiking, and horseback riding.

Onsite Amenities:
The Recreation Center has the largest heated indoor pool on the Mogollon Rim, a large whirlpool, weight room, an indoor racquetball court, an indoor half-court basketball court, pool tables, and ping-pong. Laundry facilities and a movie theater are also on-site. A large selection of cards, games, jigsaw puzzles, and books are available upon request from the Front Desk. Videos are available for rent at $2.00 per day; VCRs are in all rooms. DVD/CD players may also be rented. Special guest activities such as horseshoe tournaments, barbeque lunches, and holiday events vary with the season. Guests are informed as they check-in.During the summer season there are craft and game days. Check with the Front Desk for current activities, dates and times.

Local Attractions: Nearest Airport - Phoenix Sky Harbor (175 miles - 281 km). Among the area attractions are the Mogollon Rim Overlook, Woodland Lake Park, Springerville Volcanic Fields, Casa Malpais Ruins, and Hon-Dah Casino. Many tour opportunities include the Ancient Ruins, Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Tonto Natural Bridge, and Meteor Crater. The U.S. Forest Service maintains the unique 180 mile interconnected, multi-use Trailsystem. The Lakeside Ranger Station has information about the best hiking in the White Mountains - stop in for information and maps. The Trailsystem is accessible to hikers, equestrians, cross-country skiers, and mountain bike riders.
